How SnapFrame handles screenshots in your browser, what information may be processed by the site and its analytics providers, and how to contact SnapFrame.

About SnapFrame

SnapFrame is a browser-based screenshot editor available at snapframe.art. For privacy questions, contact support@snapframe.art.

Your screenshots and the editor

SnapFrame does not require an account. Selecting, editing, previewing, and exporting screenshots happen in your browser. SnapFrame does not send screenshot files to its servers or to Umami.

If you choose Share, your browser passes the generated image to the app or service you select. That destination handles the image under its own terms and privacy notice.

Usage analytics

When analytics is configured, SnapFrame uses Umami Cloud to count page views and selected editor actions. The fixed events record a successfully opened screenshot, generated PNG or WebP exports, and use of the layout, export-size, background, frame, and Fit/Fill controls. An export event is sent after the image is generated and handed to the browser for download; it cannot confirm that the file was saved.

These events do not include screenshot contents, file names, image dimensions, or account identifiers. We do not configure session replay or heatmaps.

Umami's standard tracker also processes page and referrer information, browser and device details, language, screen size, and approximate location. It uses the visitor's IP address and browser information to create a rotating session identifier. Umami says IP addresses are not stored as fields in standard analytics records, but they may be processed or recorded in operational and security logs.

Cookies and browser preferences

Umami's tracker does not use cookies. The tracker is configured to honor a browser Do Not Track signal when that signal is available; browser support for this older preference is limited. This preference does not replace any consent or objection mechanism required by local law.

Service providers and data location

Vercel hosts the static website and may process technical request information, such as IP address and device or network details, when delivering and securing the site. Umami Cloud processes analytics when enabled.

Umami Cloud offers US and EU data regions for analytics storage. The selected region applies to analytics storage; routing, security, support, and operational logging may involve services outside that region. See Umami's current documentation for details.

Why analytics is used

When enabled, analytics helps us understand visits and feature use and improve SnapFrame. Consent and other choices depend on the laws that apply where you live.

How long information is kept

Umami Cloud's analytics retention period depends on the account plan and settings. See Umami's current documentation for plan details. Provider backups may follow separate retention cycles. SnapFrame does not retain screenshot files on its servers.

Your rights and choices

Depending on where you live and the laws that apply, you may be able to request access to, correction or deletion of personal information, or object to or restrict its use. Contact support@snapframe.art to ask a question or make a request. We handle requests under the laws that apply.
